Delta Epsilon Phi: Nationale Deutsche Ehrenverbindung
"The National German Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Phi (the high school level of Delta Phi Alpha), seeks to recognize excellence in the study of German and to provide an incentive for higher scholarship. The Society aims to promote the study of the German language, literature and civilization and endeavors to emphasize those aspects of German life and culture which are of universal value and which contribute to man's eternal search for peace and truth."
Requirements: Enrollment in at least 2 years of German - maintaining a 90 average or better by the end of 3 (or 5) semesters of German - and an overall GPA of 80 or better.
Rewards: Bragging rights on your college applications & the right to purchase a German Honor Cord for your senior graduation.

- Certificates awarded at an Induction Ceremony - (Ceremony typically held at a student pizza luncheon.)
- Once inducted to G.N.H.S., your "academic award" counts as "Leadership Points" on the Woodrow Counts N.H.S. application. A signature from the sponsor is required, if you do not submit a copy of your certificate.
